3-Stage Battery Chargers
Enerpro’s patented 3-stage charge battery charging solutions increase locomotive reliability and save on fuel and battery costs. Systems are available for all EMD auxiliary generator equipped locomotives and GE Dash 8, Dash 9, and AC4400CW locomotives. LCAP Abutment Preventer
The Locomotive Cranking Abutment Preventer (LCAP) provides positive rotation of the starter motor pinion gear prior to flywheel engagement which prevents a sticking abutment. If standard maintenance procedures do not cure your locomotive starter abutment problem, installation of the LCAP will completely prevent abutment and the resultant dead won’t start event.
